Description

Additional photos of this MV Agusta F4 R 312 are available here for your perusal.

You wouldn’t be alone if you though the MV Agusta F4 was the world’s most beautiful motorcycle – but styling is subjective. What can’t be argued is speed, and the F4 R 312 was, when released, the world’s fastest motorcycle. That’s where the “312” in the name comes from – it’s the MV’s top speed in kilometers. In miles, it’s 193.87. Whatever the unit, it’s an impressive number!

It was exclusive, too – in their First Ride review, Cycle World said “just 150 of these homologation specials will be shipped to our shores to quality the bike for AMA competition.”

The extra oomph needed to set a speed record came from 30mm titanium intake valves, 48mm throttle bodies, and modified camshafts – all of which added 9 horsepower (total of 183 hp and 85 lb-ft of torque).

There were three options for colors: black with grey touches, white with black touches, or the Corsa red with silver touches that we have today.

This example is VIN: ZCGAKFGM38V100638.

The first owner had this until 2017, when he sold it to a 72 year-old dentist from Seal Beach. “According to the second owner, the original owner took great care of the bike and always had all the recommended services done on time. The second owner rode it just three times as he found that it was just way too fast for him. He also had a stroke about 2 years ago and that pretty much killed any hopes of him riding again. The bike sat in his garage for about 1.5-2 years as he was so in love with it and didn’t want to part with it even though he couldn’t ride it. In recent months, his wife and son convinced him to finally sell it.

3-4 months ago he sent the bike to Gustin Motorsports in Costa Mesa to get it fully serviced before he sold it – the work included new fuel lines, new fuel pump, and a completely fluid flush. He did not have receipts, but after I bought the bike I went to the shop and spoke with the mechanic – he confirmed he did all the work the owner stated.

The odometer shows 16,164 miles.

The reason I bought it is pretty similar to the second owner. I think these MVs are probably the sexiest bikes ever made as they are absolutely pieces of art on wheels.”

I rode it a few times and bike runs very strong with absolutely no issues. Bike is and has always been 100% all stock. It’s extremely fast and as Adam can probably confirm, very fun to ride. I’m selling it as I have decided to focus on building a Ducati-specific collection.”

Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California for anyone that would like to inspect (please contact us to make an appointment), this MV is offered on a clean California title with current non-op registration.

The bike has never been down. There are some minor cosmetic blemishes on the body panels, and we’ve included photos of all known marks/scratches in the album up top.
