When Suzuki refreshed the GSX-R600 for 2008, it had a lot of expectations – it was replacing Suzuki’s best selling motorcycle (and the best selling sportbike in America). The 2008 model featured new styling, improved midrange power, Drive Mode Selector, more gas capacity, electronically controlled steering damper, and a better slipper clutch.
Manufactured in March of 2008, this example is VIN: JS1GN7EA482110733. The seller acquired it in 2018 from his brother, who had used it as a commuter for the prior two years.
“My brother bought it from a friend who low-sided it and then never rode again. The bike sat around for a while and then my brother bought it to fix it up as his commuter bike. He found some used fairings and a goofily painted tank from a race team to get her up and running.
“She fires right up, shifts smoothly, and purrs like a kitten. This bike deserves to be out on the road and enjoying daily use.”
During his ownership, the seller has covered les than 1,000 miles. The odometer shows 4,488 miles.

Cosmetic Blemishes:
“Fairings are scratched up, mirrors scuffed up, one lever is partially broken but still works, the gas tank is from a race team’s spare parts so there’s funky paint job on it. The rear storage is missing the lock so you just pull on the wire to unlatch it.”
Inside of the tank:
It is riding on Michelin Power RS 2CT+ tires with date codes from 2016. “The tires were installed around June 2018 at Brea Suzuki when the stator recall was done and I haven’t ridden her since.”
The sale includes one key.
The seller states that there are no known mechanical issues. “I would do annual oil changes with Rotella T6 and a Wix filter even though I wasn’t riding her. The tires are brand new from Brea Suzuki. There’s probably 8 miles on those tires. She has a Ballistic Lithium Ion battery which is stupid strong and only needs to be topped off once or twice a year. A quick ride and you’ll see that this bike rides awesome. The suspension, brakes, fuel injection, and transmission all work perfectly to me. I should just get the tank repainted and enjoy it but I know she’ll just sit around in the garage.”
Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Suzuki is offered on a clean California title with registration current through May 2022 (the new registration and 2022 sticker are under the passenger seat). “The registration was paid for 2022 but I had to submit an Affidavit of Non-Use since I didn’t renew the insurance on her.
