Introduced in 2006 as the successor to the four-cylinder Daytona 650, the three-cylinder Daytona 675 has been a favorite of riders and the press ever since it debuted. MCN summed it up with: “Silky, compact handling, allied to kick-ass engine power and a howling exhaust note, make the Triumph Daytona 675 a real winner on the road, or track.”
The triple was “a masterpiece of compact simplicity” that produced a claimed 123 horsepower.
Capitalizing off the success of the Daytona, Triumph introduced the ‘Special Edition’ just two years after it’s release, with some distinct features that set it apart from the base model. The SE came with a elegant ‘Phantom Black’ paintjob, accented by gold wheels and decals, all paired with subdued black engine covers. Rounding out the SE package was a gold-colored steering stem nut.
