Arriving on the scene in 2007, the Aprilia Mana was quite the polarizing motorcycle, fitting into the market in a niche that was sparsely populated beforehand. The Mana 850 sported a variety of firsts for an Italian standard, such as a continuously variable transmission (CVT), a front trunk under the gas tank, and even a few riding modes (Touring, Rain, and Sport).
The 850 sported a V-twin configuration that produced a respectable 75 bhp and 57 ft-lb of torque out of a package that weighed just shy of 400 pounds. With some folks claiming it was more ‘scooter than motorcycle’ the 850 Mana was Aprilia’s foray into a market rarely treaded, and the relative success of the Mana was apparent, having been manufactured all the way into 2011.
