Description
Please note: The seller states this bike has never been out of the crate. As such, there is no cold start video.
Introduced in July 2007 for the 2008 model year, the 1125R was Buell’s sportbike foray with a Rotax 1,125cc V-Twin engine that produced a claim 146 horsepower.
In addition to moving away from Harley-Davidson Sportster engines, the 1125R had several features that were relatively rare at the time – fuel in frame, eight-piston front caliper on a perimeter rotor, belt final drive, and an under-engine exhaust.
One of the most distinctive features is the ZTL2 (Zero Torsional Load) front brake system, which features a gigantic 375mm disc and 8-piston calipers.
This example is VIN: 4MZHL04D393B01499. Per the seller, “I’m a Buell enthusiast and collector. The Buell Factory supported race team that received this motorbike from Harley-Davidson chose to move the business in a different direction and sold off their collection of Buell motorcycles in the 2015 time frame. I purchased this Buell, along with several others, and have had it in heated & cooled dry storage ever since. I need to rightsize my collection and am choosing to pass this rare Buell 1125R on to the next curator.”
Maintenance:
“It has never been removed from the crate. Will need all fluids changed and new tires if someone was to chose to ride on the street.”
Modifications:
“None, factory original.”
The sale includes two keys and key card.
Cosmetic Blemishes:
The seller notes there are no blemishes.
Currently located in Cambria, California, this Buell is offered on a Bill of Sale only with closed MSO. Have any 1125R stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
