KTM’s 990 Adventure arrived in 2007 as a replacement for the outgoing 950 model. Like its predecessor, the 990 was built around the Austrian manufacturers’s LC8 engine, a 75-degree water-cooled V-twin. Along with modernizing the bike with fuel injection, KTM also bumped its displacement up to 999cc, resulting in 105hp and 74lb-ft of torque.

But the changes extended beyond engine capacity; elsewhere the 990 got upgrades like fully floating front discs, switchable ABS, and a revised step seat — all intended to make the bike a more livable machine for day-to-day riding.

Come 2009, the 990 Adventure received another overhaul. Along with giving the engine new cylinder heads, new cams, and lighter con-rods and cranks, KTM also refined the EFI and fitted the bike with some different exhausts.

Manufactured in January of 2009, this example is VIN: VBKVA74049M958097. The seller is the original owner, he acquired it new in 2010 from Thousand Oaks Powersports.

The odometer shows 3,621 miles.

The seller states that they completed 3 oil changes during their ownership of this motorcycle.

Jesse Bags and rear case.

2- 1 Gal fuel tanks.

Large foot pegs.

External driving lights.

Crash bars and bar bags.

Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the album up top for all known cosmetic blemishes. Here is a selection:

Inside of the tank:

It is riding on tires that have aged out.

The seller is also including a multitude of various extra parts, including some original parts taken off due to modifications, and storage mounting solutions.

Currently located in Sunland, California, this KTM is offered on a clean California title. Per the DMV, it would cost $154 to make registration current through February 2024.
