Description

5-14 Update: This KTM was initially listed as a 2009 model, which is incorrect. In addition, after the auction went live we discovered additional parts for this bike, including the rear turn signals/license plate mount, three keys, key code card, engine spare parts manual, chassis spare parts manual, tool kit, the owner’s briefcase, service/warranty book, and the owner’s manual. We installed the rear turn signals/license plate mount and added photos to the album. Photos of the other extras are included below as well.

Additional photos of this KTM RC8R are available here for your perusal.

KTM came out swinging when they decided to create their first supersport machine. The original RC8 featured a 1,148cc V-Twin engine that put out 160 horsepower and a surprising amount of adjustability – both levers, the bars, subframe/seat, pegs, shifter, brake pedal, and ride height.

It featured top notch components, including Marchesini wheels, Brembo brakes, and WP suspension.

2010 was the first year that Americans were given access to the bike, which makes this 2008 model a rarity on our shores.

This example is VIN: VBKVR94088M951303.

The odometer shows 11,012 kilometers (6,841 miles).

This bike comes out of a collection in South Africa. The previous maintenance history is not known. In preparation for the listing, we chainged the oil/filter, installed a new battery, and installed new Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II tires with date codes of 0921 and 1721.

Modifications:
Keiti tank protector.

Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the album up top for all known cosmetic blemishes. Here is a selection:

Inside of the tank:

The sale includes three keys, key code card, engine spare parts manual, chassis spare parts manual, tool kit, the owner’s briefcase, service/warranty book, and the owner’s manual.
