The engine was good for 128 horsepower and it only had to motivate 399 pounds (dry weight). It was paired with tremendous Brembo brakes (with minimal dive thanks to the Telever front suspension), relatively spacious seating, and a GP dashboard that feels right at home on the track. The hefty price tag also included PVM forged aluminum wheels, Brembo brakes, and Marzocchi suspension. It was the pinnacle of sporty R-bikes, as BMW moved on with the S1000RR platform afterwards.
Manufactured in June of 2009, this example is VIN: WB1046808AZS70213. The seller acquired it in April 2021 from a private party.
The odometer shows 22,140 miles.
Modifications:
BMW R1200RT front lower control A-arm (shortens the wheelbase and quickens steering). The original A-arm is included.
LED turn signals front and rear. The original turn signals are included.
Adjustable HP levers and foam grips. The original levers are included.
It is riding on new Bridgestone Battlax RS11 tires from 2021.
The sale includes the original Rider’s Manual and a hex key to remove the seat with.
Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this BMW is offered on a clean California title with registration current through June 2022.
