When Ducati first debuted the Streetfighter model at EICMA in 2008, it was immediately rewarded with the “Most Beautiful Bike” award at the show. It was originally released with a 1098cc desmo engine, though for the 2012 model year Ducati offered it with the 848 motor as well. The 1098 model became known as the Streetfighter S.
In addition to the bigger motor, the S featured Marchesini forged wheels, carbon fiber cam belt covers, carbon fiber front fender, and fully-adjustable Ohlins suspension. Thanks to the lighter weight upgrades, the Ohlins only had to cope with a dry weight of 368 pounds.
