When development of the Diavel began, it was set to be a “Mega-Monster, a blend of sport-naked and sportbike” per Ducati Product Manager Stefano Tarabusi. As the bike developed, a cruiser form appeared and what resulted was a uniquely styled, category-defying machine housing a 1198cc L-twin Testastretta engine with serious juice.
The powermill cranked out 162 hp and 94 ft-lbs of torque. This power paired with a 62.6 inch wheelbase, slightly forward handlebars, 30.3 inch seat height, and footpegs a shade forward of the seat provided a villainous ride on the sportbike-cruiser-naked-hybrid.
