Though the almighty inline-four had become the standard in supersport models, Triumph shook things up in 2006 with the release of the three-cylinder Daytona 675. What the British three-banger lacked in top speed, it more than made up for with its immense low and mid-range oomph – but the real joy came from the addition of a track-oriented R-spec in 2011.

For 2011, the R model featured upgraded suspension, with fully adjustable front and rear Öhlins suspension units, as well as Brembo brakes with larger discs. It also had lighter wheels and a quick-shifter as standard. The engine was the same three-cylinder 675cc engine as the base model but had revised ECU mapping for increased power and torque, and a race-inspired exhaust system.

This example is VIN: SMTD00NS2BJ449609. The seller purchased this motorcycle from a private party in Michigan one year ago.

The odometer shows 4,862 miles. The seller states they have ridden “less than 100 track miles” on this example. They are selling it to fund a newer track build.

Maintenance:
The seller states they have performed an oil change and coolant flush.

The seller also states Triumph Detroit performed a change of the stator and rectifier due to a factory recall.

Modifications:
Full Akrapovic exhaust. (mapped)

Arrow rearsets. (GP)

Pitbull steering damper

GB Racing covers.

Quick fill gas cap.

Translogic quick shifter.

Inside of the tank:
