Description
Additional photos of this Ducati Panigale 1199 S Tricolore are available here for your perusal.
For the 2012 model year, the top of the Ducati superbike line was the 1199 Panigale S Tricolore. It’s quite a mouthful, but it’s also quite a bike.
The 1199 Panigale S was already packed with impressive features like Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Quick Shifter, Ducati Electronic Suspension (made by Öhlins), full LED lighting, carbon fiber front fender, and forged Marchesini wheels – not to mention the 195 horsepower superquadro L-twin engine.
To create the “Tricolore”, Ducati then added the beautiful red/white/green livery, racing ABS, Ducati Data Analyser (DDA) datalogger with GPS assist, and titanium Termignoni exhausts which pump up the power even more. In dyno testing, MCN saw 177 hp/90 lb-ft at the rear wheel with the stock exhaust (195 hp claimed at crank) – Ducati claimed it had the highest horsepower-to-weight ratio ever in its class. With the Termis equipped? The MCN dyno reported 186 hp/95 lb-ft at the rear wheel, so you got some extra oomph to back up the new look.
