Description

Cold start after sitting for a week:

Click here for an CycleVIN Motorcycle History Report on this 2012 Ducati Streetfighter 1098S. Additional photos are available here for your perusal.

When Ducati first debuted the Streetfighter model at EICMA in 2008, it was immediately rewarded with the “Most Beautiful Bike” award at the show. It was originally released with a 1098cc desmo engine, though for the 2012 model year Ducati offered it with the 848 motor as well. The 1098 model became known as the Streetfighter S.

In addition to the bigger motor, the S featured Marchesini forged wheels, carbon fiber cam belt covers, carbon fiber front fender, and fully-adjustable Ohlins suspension. Thanks to the lighter weight upgrades, the Ohlins only had to cope with a dry weight of 368 pounds.

This example is VIN: ZDM11BEW2CB008303. The seller states that he “bought this bike in 2013 from the then sales manager at EuroCycles of Tampa Bay, Florida (Jamie Rucklos), whom then went on to work for Ducati USA as I understand it. I actually saw Jamie about 3 years after I bought the bike from him at a Ducati event and he wanted to buy the bike back off me again!”

He has covered approximately 3,500 miles with it. The odometer shows 6,876 miles.

Recent maintenance includes an oil/filter change 4 weeks ago. The seller notes that this bike is due for new belts.

Modifications:
SpeedyMoto frame sliders.

SpeedyMoto front/rear axle sliders, Ducati Performance carbon fiber front fender.

Ducati Performance carbon fiber rear fender.

Ducati Performance windscreen.

Ducati Performance carbon fiber ignition switch cover.

Ducati Performance dry clutch cover, Ducati Performance clutch basket/springs, Rizoma brake lever.

Ducati Performance Seat.

Carbon fiber cam covers, Rizoma rear brake fluid reservoir.

Carbon fiber air intakes.

STM clutch slave cylinder, Rizoma front sprocket cover and shift lever.

Rizoma grips, Rizoma brake and clutch fluid reservoir, Rizoma bar end mirrors.

Rizoma radiator guard.

Ducati Performance tail tidy, full Termignoni exhaust.

Rizoma front turn signals, and “this bike also has had a new tank added that has been internally sprayed to ensure it doesn’t shrink or warp as these units are known for.”

The sale includes all original parts, the owner’s manual, Ducati Data Analyzer, Code Card, and two keys.

The sole cosmetic blemish is a group of small chips on the radiator.

The seller states that there are no mechanical issues. “This bike runs well and starts first time every time as its in my living room on a tender 100% of the time.” He’s letting it go to help fund a car purchase. “It sits in my living room and is probably better off with a person that will use the bike on a regular basis.”

Currently located in Henderson, Nevada, this Ducati is offered on a clean California title with a Nevada plate and registration. The seller sums up his bike by calling it “an immaculate 2012 Ducati Streetfighter 1098S with a substantial number of premium upgrades. It is a 2 owner, living room kept motorcycle that has not seen a wet road in its life. Have any Streetfighter stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the comments!
