When it was introduced for the 2012 model year, the 201 horsepower (claimed, at the crank) F4RR Corsacorta boasted the most powerful production engine that MV Agusta had ever produced. The new short-stroke motor featured titanium radial valves, lightweight alloy pistons, and a redline bump to 13,700 rpm. Suffice to say — it made for a fitting successor to the marque’s original F4 offering.

Alongside the top-of-the-line RR model, MV also introduced a slightly tamer F4R that same year. Power came in just a bit lower at 195.2 horses; even still, grunt for both bikes peaked at a plentiful 84lb-ft of torque.

Elsewhere, the F4R differed from its bigger brother by way of its components. Whereas the more expensive model sported a full Öhlins suspension setup and some lightweight forged wheels, MV Agusta opted to spec the R with a set of 50mm Tenneco-Marzocchi inverted forks, a fully-adjustable Sachs shock, and some cast aluminum wheels. However, both bikes employed a Brembo braking system comprised of Monobloc radial-mount calipers and 320mm rotors.

Interestingly enough, MV claimed that the F4R and F4RR also shared the same top speed (185mph) as well as the same curb weight (423lbs).

But let’s face it; despite all of those advanced features, many riders still think that the best part is the quad undertail exhaust pipes!

This example is VIN: ZCGF630AACV002686. It came to Iconic as an import from Japan – the history is not known.

The odometer shows 5 kilometers (3.1 miles). Note that the dash still has its protective film.
