Description

7/17 Update: We apologize for the confusion. After the start of the auction, it was brought to our attention that this GSX-R750 does have an odometer. It currently reads 2,249 miles.

Please note: Iconic Motorbikes originally acquired this GSX-R750 to make it part of our track bike fleet. However, we need to make room for upcoming arrivals, so we’re letting this one go to a new home! The bike came to us from the original owner who elected to immediately convert it for track duty. The OEM bodywork was sold to pay for the high-end mods and unfortunately he misplaced the title. We weren’t terribly concerned about the title when acquiring it as we had NO plans to put it back on the street so a bill of sale sufficed.

If the new owner would like us to help pursue obtaining a title for it, we can do so but it does take time and will require additional fees.

In 1986, Suzuki set the new standard in the sport bike class with the release of the first GSX-R750. 35 years later the GSX-R750 is not only still in production, it is the only 750 supersport being sold new today, adding to its storied history as one of the most successful motorcycles of all time. The formula was simple: a larger and more powerful 750 cc engine shoehorned into a 600 cc class chassis offering light weight and excellent handling.

Come 2012, Pops Yoshimura and Suzuki came together for a collaboration on a series Limited Edition bikes in the 600, 750, and 1000 ranges. Exclusively available via special order, they were available in two liveries: blue with a blue frame and red/white with a black frame.

Beyond the unique color schemes, buyers also got an assortment of Yoshimura hop-ups, including an exhaust, a fender eliminator kit, an engine and oil filter plug kits, as well as some case savers. Taken together, such upgrades amounted to a $3,600 premium in MSRP.

Manufactured in April 2012, this example is VIN: JS1GR7MA9C2101346.

The odometer currently shows 2,249 miles.
