The Swiss watchmaker Tissot has been the Official Timekeeper of MotoGP since 2001, monitoring riders with 1/1000th of a second precision. They’ve made annual Limited Edition watches to celebrate that fact, and today we have an example from the 2008 run. Here’s what Tissot had to say in their Certificate of Authenticity: “The Tissot MotoGP Limited Edition 2013 not only reflects a sporty and dynamic way of living, but also a taste for style. Everyone knows they need a sports watch in their collection. Add the latest trends to it and you have your winner. Additionally, this watch doesn’t take its inspiration from just any sport but from one of the fastest and most thrilling disciplines – MotoGP. The inspiration came from years of partnership. This is reflected through elements of the watch, going from counters which were present on classic bikes, all the way to a brake-disk bezel and the dial’s carbon composition that are seen in today’s MotoGP motorbikes that race around the tracks.”

This example is #4,904 out of 8,888. The seller acquired it in 2013 from a jewelry store and he states that it has never been worn.

The sale includes the watch, the authenticity papers, and the helmet case.
