Click here for an CycleVIN Motorcycle History Report on this 2013 Triumph Speed Triple SE. Additional photos are available here for your perusal.

Introduced in 1994, the Speed Triple was named in honor of Triumph’s 1938 Speed Twin. It utilized Triumph’s popular inline triple engine in a streetfighter design that quickly earned a reputation as the hooligan’s bike of choice due to the torquey power delivery, excellent handling, and surprisingly comfortable ergonomics. It’s even the vehicle of choice of Wheelie University!

2011 brought a serious update to the Speed Triple lineup with an aluminum frame, restyled bug-eye headlights, lower seat, and a 1,050cc motor that produced 133 hp and 82 lb-ft of torque.

For 2013, Triumph introduced a Special Edition (SE) variant of the Bonneville and the Speed Triple. The latter got a Matte Graphite paint job, blue frame, tank stripes, and color-matched fly screen/belly pan/seat cowl, and Triumph produced just 200 of them.

It also got multiple carbon fiber pieces: the front fender, side pods, tank cover panel, and inner radiator panels.

Finally, the Street Triple SE was differentiated with unique covers for the clutch, sprocket, and alternator, as well as a rubber tank pad, clear taillight, blue wheel pinstripes, new mirrors, and some blacked out pieces: the silencer heat shields, handlebars, and clamps.

The seller of this example (VIN: SMTN01PK7DT588844) acquired it in October of 2018 from a private party.

Since then the seller has covered approximately 3,500 miles. The odometer now shows 5,399 miles.

During his ownership, the seller had the oil change and new tires installed. He states that there are no mechanical issues and the sale includes all stock parts.

Modifications:
Arrow dual carbon fiber/titanium exhaust.

R&G radiator guard and T-Rex frame sliders.

R&G tail tidy kit, Competition Werkes LED integrated brake light/turn signals.

CRG Lane Splitter bar end mirrors.

The seller says that the original parts “are all boxed up and ready to go upon delivery of the bike.”

Cosmetic Blemishes:

Currently located in San Francisco, California, this Triumph is offered on a clean California title with registration current through October 2021. Per the seller, “This bike is a curbside showstopper. When out riding with my pals on their Ducatis, it’s my rare Triumph that gets all the looks and comments.” Have any Street Triple stories or questions about this listing?
