For the 2014 model year, Beta had three versions of their dual-sport RS line up: 400, 450, and 520. All three offerings received several improvements for the year which resulted in lighter weight and more power.
This example is VIN: ZD3E31208E0100055, Engine #: ZD3E3-45/A0102110/BJ02. The seller is the original owner, he purchased it from Get Dirty Dirt Bikes in Morongo Valley, California.
The odometer shows 4,489 miles.
Modifications:
The seller took full advantage of Beta’s “Build Your Own Beta” program to have it heavily customized when purchased new with a full supermoto conversion. The sale includes the original sales receipt from 12/21/2013 which shows that the bike was $9,408 but the total invoice (including modifications) was $18,432. Please note that Beta is no longer implementing the BYOB program, so this bike would be very difficult to replicate. Highlights of the modifications include:
Excel supermoto wheels front and rear, rear rotor guard.
Supermoto front fender.
Rekluse clutch (ARC forged clutch lever), left hand rear brake (ARC folding brake lever).
The sale includes the original dirt bike wheel setup (Dunlop Geomax tires on Excel wheels with Galfer wave rotors), original seat, original front fender, stock headlight/numberplate, front turn signals, dirt sprocket, and owners DVD.
Cosmetic Blemishes:
It is riding on Michelin Pilot Road 3 tires from 2012.
The seller states that there are no mechanical issues. In preparation for the listing, the seller had us clean the carb, rebuild the petcock, and install several new parts: Twin Air Filter, new battery, fuel filter, and fuel lines.
Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Beta is offered on a clean California title. It has not been registered since 2018 and it will cost $1,052 to make the registration current again. The seller will cover the cost of making the registration current for a California buyer.
