Click here for an CycleVIN Motorcycle History Report on this 2014 BMW R nineT. Please note that the report shows this bike was impounded on 11-21-2021 – per the seller, there was a “mix-up filing between AAA and DMV. Bike was stored in the secured warehouse overnight, and picked up the following day after DMV supervisor issued corrected paperwork.” Additional photos are available here for your perusal.
Initially introduced in 2014, the BMW R nineT was such a surprise hit that it eventually led to an entire family of bikes – but the original is the best in terms of components.
A dual exhaust, inverted forks, spoke wheels, aluminum fuel tank, and dual gauges (including tachometer) differentiate the model from future variants, all of which were given cheaper price tags and lower specifications to match. It’s a rare case of the original standard being the flagship model.
The R nineT (in any form) is a good choice for someone who wants to do some customization. The motor is a classic air/oil-cooled engine that puts out useful power with 110 horses and a significant 86 ft/lbs of torque.
Manufactured in March of 2014, this example is VIN: WB10A1603EZ397696. The seller acquired it six years ago from the original owner in Idaho.
During his ownership, the seller has covered roughly 2,000 miles. The odometer shows 3,038 miles.
