When it was time for Ducati to extend their Superleggera to the 1299 lineup, one of their biggest priorities was obviously in the name – “superlight” means you’ve got to save weight. To ensure a dry weight of just 339.5 pounds, they extensively utilized lightweight materials – the main frame, subframe, and single-sided swingarm were all made of carbon fiber. Ducati wanted the same material utilized for the wheels, so they tapped industry leaders BST to make a design specific to the 1299 SL.

BST offers a slightly similar design now to the public called the Rapid TEK, but the design used for the 1299 Superleggera is specific to the model. They feature similar identification stickers as BST wheels but with the Ducati logo on them.

The seller states: “I installed these on my 1199 Superleggera and did about 100 miles with them. Then the bike went on display. I’ve since put the stock wheels back on.”

These BST wheels are shod with Pirelli Supercorsa SP tires with date codes of 4417 and 4617.
