2014 brought an all-new model to the top of the Monster lineup – the 1100EVO gave way to the 1200, which featured an updated (and tiny) steel trellis frame as well as a revised Testastretta 11° DS that was utilized as a stressed member.
The motor put out 133 horsepower at 8,750 rpm and 86.8 ft-lbs of torque at 7,250 rpm. Suspension duties were handled by KYB up front (fully adjustable 43mm forks) and Sachs in the back (preload/rebound adjustable monoshock) while Brembo Monobloc M4-32 four-piston calipers kept speeds in check.
The 1200S offered a bump to 145 ponies and 92 ft-lbs of torque. The suspension was upgraded to a premium Öhlins suspension and other enhancements included upgraded Brembos clamping onto bigger discs, and lighter wheels for less unsprung weight.
This example is VIN: ZDM1RBSW6EB004545. Engine: RBSE004044. The seller is the original owner and purchased the bike new from AMS Ducati Dallas and states, “Bought it while living in Texas, was my first Duc, which is probably why I just had to have the dry clutch….it gets the looks from those that know. I love riding it….just wish I had more time…”
The odometer shows 3,620 miles.
Maintenance:
Per the seller, “All maintenance has been done by AMS, A&S Ducati and Desmoto Sport S.F. Unfortunately the AMS docs are in storage in Texas. Desmoto Sport documentation available. Clutch is new (Desmoto Sport SF), bike runs perfectly, no starting issues, it’s a typical later model Duc. Sounds amazing!!! No leaks.”
Modifications: “This is a truly “one of a kind” Monster, from the factory dry clutch (installed by AMS before delivery), ProTaper bars, full Termi exhaust system, Ohlins steering damper, 520 chain kit, Rizoma pegs, Ducati miniature turn signals, magnesium lower engine cover, carbon tail section, carbon cylinder covers, fender eliminator, new Pirelli Diablos (less than 400 miles)”
Inside of the tank:
It is riding on Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires with date codes of 1721 and 1721.
The sale includes one key and a box of extras that includes the original wet clutch, exhaust system and tail section (all with zero miles, not pictured).
Cosmetic Blemishes:
According to the seller, there are no blemishes. “The pipes have cured in the way they normally do (totally visible in the pics) but other than that there are no dents, scratches or rub/wear marks.”
Currently located in Walnut Creek, California, this Ducati is offered on a clean California title with registration current through September 2025.
