The Moto Guzzi V7 was introduced in 2008, and it’s been the Italian firm’s best selling model since 2009. Between the classic styling, the comfortable ergonomics, and the approachable powerplant, the bike hit just the right balance of personality and practicality.
Claimed output for the Guzzi small block was 48.8hp at 6,800rpm and 40.3lb-ft of torque at 3,600rpm. So, while the tractor-like V-twin wasn’t one for winning races, its output was more than adequate for spirited solo rides and its delivery was pleasantly smooth.
In 2011, Moto Guzzi debuted a limited-edition Racer model with just 150 examples worldwide. It differed from the other V7s by way of a red insignia’d tank, a leather tank strap, a shiny red frame and swingarm, a suede seat, as well as a numbered flyscreen and tail cowl. Moto Guzzi only offered the model with a chrome tank from 2011 to 2015.
