Nicky Hayden was a Tissot ambassador, and the Swiss luxury watchmaker celebrated that fact with annual releases of Limited Edition watches inspired by Nicky and his MotoGP career – they had similar arrangements at the time with Danica Patrick and Michael Owen.
Here’s what Tissot had to say in their Certificate of Authenticity: “It is in style that Nicky Hayden will be starting his new season. The 2014 Tissot T-Race Nicky Hayden Edition keeps its racy attitude and features with its brake disc bezel and tire tracks on the back of its strap, however, the bright homogenous blue on the dial, band and caseback is another first for Nicky. Touches of white and red give it a patriotic feel, hinting to the colours of the American flag.”
Water-resistant down to 100 meters, the 2014 Tissot T-Race Chronograph Nicky Hayden Edition (Model: T048.417.27.047.00) is constructed around a 45mm 316L stainless steel case with a push-pull crown, a sapphire crystal, and an adjustable rubber strap secured via a butterfly clasp with push-button mechanism. Equipped with a tachymeter, this Hayden Edition timepiece is kept ticking via a highly-accurate, Swiss-made ETA G10.211 quartz movement with chronograph and date functions. Made in Switzerland, the watch comes in a special helmet display case.
