Description
Click here for an VINData Motorcycle History Report on this 2014 Triumph Scrambler. Please note: This bike is incorrectly titled as a 2013.
When Triumph revived the Scrambler name back in 2006, the model was more of a road bike in disguise than a true off-road-worthy option. In fact, the Hinckley-based manufacturer even went so far as to introduce the “Street Scrambler” for those who wanted to look the part without venturing beyond anything other than groomed dirt roads.
Based around the Bonneville’s 865cc powerplant, the Scrambler had a bit more rumble to it thanks to the crank being changed from 360 degrees to 270 degrees. This lead to basic specs of a claimed 54 peak horsepower at 7,000rpm and 51lb-ft. of torque at 5,000rpm. Triumph has kept the model quite similar during production with the biggest changes being black engine cases a year after its release, fuel injection in 2008, dual instrument gauges in 2011, water cooled in 2016, and ABS in 2017.
One of the biggest perks for Scrambler owners is the amount of add-ons available for customization. Triumph has offered luggage, luggage racks, seats, an Arrow exhaust can, skid plate, engine bars, headlight grill, and side number boards. Want to learn more? You can read MCN’s review here.
Manufactured June 2013, this example is VIN: SMT925RNXET613828. The seller is the original owner of the bike and purchased it from South Bay Power Sports San Diego. He notes, “Enjoyed riding the bike for the first 6 years of ownership with short trips around the city and occasional longer trips to the local mountains or desert. Changes with work and life provided much less time for riding, with the bike stored under cover for the last four years.”
The odometer shows 3,311 miles.
Maintenance:
Per the seller, “Prior oil change, recent recommission in May 2025 included new chain, brake fluid, new front & rear tire, oil change, battery, fuel system gone through to address issues caused by California ethanol fuel. Recommission was $1,850 performed at San Diego Triumph and $263 on tires at RevZilla.”
Modifications:
According to the seller, the bike is stock.
It is riding on Kenda K784 Big Block tires with date codes of 1524 and 2524.
The sale includes two ignition keys and one steering lock key, owner’s manual, and warranty book.
Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the album up top for all known cosmetic blemishes. Here is a selection:
“Corrosion on the chrome trim pieces on the EFI, which might clean up more if pieces removed and compounded or could be replaced for ~$130. Some corrosion present on front and rear wheel spokes, which might clean up further with compounding. Bike stored under cover and slight pinch on right side of rear fender.”
Currently located in San Diego, California, this Triumph is offered on a clean California title with registration current through December 2025. Please note: This bike is incorrectly titled as a 2013.
