Additional photos of this KTM RC390 Cup are available here for your perusal.

The first turnkey racebike since Moriwaki’s MD250H, the KTM RC390 Cup was introduced to start a RC Cup with MotoAmerica in the hopes of growing the next wave of US talent to be seen in MotoGP. Most bikes were sold to race teams, but a few examples were snagged by members of the public who wanted a dedicated track toy.

The spec bike takes the already-competent RC390 and adds a generous portion of upgrades from KTM’s PowerParts catalog, including:

Akrapovic titanium exhaust with baffle.

Fiberglass race bodywork with solo seat tail.

Race windshield (taller).

17” aluminum rims shod in Dunlop Sportmax Alpha-13 SP tires, upgraded 320mm petal rotors.

Adjustable CNC-machined aluminum rearsets.

Fully adjustable WP Racing suspension front and rear.

Swingarm spools.

Brake lever guard, machined folding levers, RC8R-style throttle assembly.

Front and rear race stands.

It also includes a assist-and-slipper clutch, ABS module deletion, and retuned engine for less peak horsepower and more mid-range torque. The weight is also down to just 304 pounds.

This example is VIN: MD2JYJ4C7FC215397. The seller is the original owner – he purchased it new from GP Motorcycles in San Diego, California.

By design, the odometer does not function on the Cup model and true mileage is unknown. The owner kept it at the Wilzig Racing Manor to use and estimates that the bike has been ridden twice for a total of less than 30 miles.

Modifications:
Anti-slosh foam inside of the tank.

Battery tender lead.

Aftermarket decal kit.

Cosmetic Blemishes:

The seller believes that this damage happened during shipping while the bike was brought from New York to our facility in California.

It is riding on the original tires from 2016.

The sale includes one key and several extras:

Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this KTM is offered on a Bill of Sale only. Have any RC390 stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
