Built as a homage to the iconic age of Yamaha’s classic single cylinders, the SR400 was a modern day classic in all but manufacturing date. Arriving in the states back in 1978 as the SR500 originally, the new-for-2015 model SR was an 399cc air-cooled, fuel-injected, single cylinder powerplant, good for roughly 23 horsepower to the wheel. Tipping the scales at roughly 384 lbs., the SR400 came in a retro package, and had the characteristics to fit the time – coming with features such as a a classic tear-drop shaped tank, round headlight, spoked wheels, and even a kickstart!

While the original SR500 came with many of the same features, the newest generation saw quite a few tasteful advancements. The original cast wheels were replaced with the more modern and approachable 18-inch wheels, while the biggest revision came with the fuel injection. With this newest change, riders have claimed the kickstart mechanic is a quick snap in comparison to the older model. The SR400 embodies all the best elements of old-school singles, while complimenting the appearance with some subtle modern touches.

The true mileage is unknown. The seller states they have put 500 miles on this example.
