For 2014, BMW gave their classic boxer sport-tourer a complete redesign centered around the liquid-cooled 1,170cc opposed-twin engine that debuted in the GS the year prior. A slightly heavier flywheel was implemented to smooth out power delivery of the 125 horsepower and hefty 92 lb-ft of torque.
2015 brought keyless ignition, and 2016 added an additional color option. Today’s feature is adorned in “Ebony Metallic”, which lights up in a deep cherry/purple when in the sun.
It’s an impressive package that allows the rider to cover all kinds of distance in speed and comfort, with ample technological features like Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA), a 5.7″ TFT screen, power windscreen, and multiple ride modes.
The seller of this example (VIN: WB10A1302GZ195990) is the original owner.
He purchased it new from BMW Motorcycles of Burbank, California. He also had them perform all maintenance, including:
August 2017: 600 mile service
August 2018: annual service @ 5,000 miles.
August 2019: annual service @ 8,000 miles.
The odometer shows 10,766 miles.
It is entirely stock but it is loaded with factory options such as the $799 BMW Motorrad Navigator IV GPS.
It also features the $3,200 Premium Package (Dynamic ESA, GPS prep, cruise control, heated seats, audio system with bluetooth interface, chrome exhaust, tire pressure monitor, Headlight Pro, dual accessory sockets, and hill start control) and a color-matched top case.
The seller states that there are no cosmetic or mechanical issues. He is letting it go as he has decided to stop riding motorcycles. Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California, this RT is offered on a clean California title with registration current through May 2021.
