In 2015, Yamaha decided to challenge the small bike establishment with their release of the R3, and the end result was impressive. Sport Rider opened up their review by simply saying it was “worth the wait.” Thanks to a 321cc motor, it was faster than the competition from Honda and Kawasaki, and it quickly became Yamaha’s best selling motorcycle in the US. It also became a popular platform for ~300 cc racing.
Manufactured in January of 2016, this example is VIN: MH3RH06Y3GK010454. The seller acquired it one year ago from a local racer in Los Angeles. He’s letting it go as it’s “time for something bigger.”
During his ownership, he’s covered 600 miles. The odometer shows 2,168 miles.
