For the 2016 model year, Moto Guzzi introduced a new duo with the V9 moniker – a Roamer and the up-spec Bobber. Both featured a 850cc engine that produced 55 horsepower, all-new styling, and more of a cruiser feelthan the V7.
The Bobber differed with different paint jobs, blacked-out trim pieces, lower, flatter bars, a narrower seat, and a smaller/fatter front wheel (16″ vs 19″).
This example (VIN: ZGULHU016HM000124, Engine #12157) is offered by the original owner, who purchased it new from Thousand Oaks Powersports of Thousand Oaks, California in 2017.
The odometer shows 15,399 miles.
Modifications:
Matris adjustable fork internals and shocks.
Factory fabric side cases/top box and mounts.
Moto Guzzi “Control Panel Cover” (small windscreen).
It is equipped with the Guzzi Multimedia platform, which allows a smartphone to act like a tachometer via Bluetooth. It also includes a RAM mount for a phone holder and a wired mount for a Garmin Zumo 396LM navigator. The seller will include the navigation unit if the next owner desires.
Not pictured is a metal fuel filter – the original half plastic/half metal units were prone to failure.
The ECU has been flashed. The seller states that all scheduled maintenance has been performed, and he has electronic documentation for it. Most maintenance was done by Todd Egan of GuzziTech/GT Moto. He notes that the bike was knocked over when street parked in 2019 and the handlebars “are not quite straight. I have ridden it several thousand miles and it does not bother me. Runs beautifully and is well-broken in.”
Cosmetically, the bike was parked “outside under a to-the-ground-cover.” The seller notes “light paint peeling from the flat black exhaust pipe covers and some rust spots on the forks, pencil lead size or smaller.”
Currently located in Woodland Hills, California, this Moto Guzzi is offered on a clean California title with registration current through October 2021.
