Introduced for 2016, the Panigale 959 was an evolution of the 899 that ensured it could still make good power (157 hp, 79 lb-ft) while meeting Euro 4 emissions. Other goodies included a slipper clutch, a slight restyle, and a full ride-by-wire electronics suite that enables traction control, engine brake control, ABS, quickshifter, and ride modes (Wet/Sport/Race).

For 2018, Ducati released a Corse model inspired by the MotoGP GP17 prototypes piloted by Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizioso – it was the first time Ducati had released a middleweight Corse Superbike since the 848 Evo from 2013. MCN said it was “worth the extra cash over the standard model for wow factor alone.”

It also came with fully adjustable Ohlins suspension and steering damper: a titanium-treated Ohlins NI30 43mm front fork and a TTX36 rear mono-shock paired with Brembo Monobloc M4.32 calipers squeezing dual 320 mm semi-floating discs up front.
