Introduced in 2014, the NM4 represented Honda’s attempt to expand their brand, piquing interest in the sport towards young consumers who may not have given motorcycles a second glance. It’s also another foray into the future to remind the world that Honda Motor Company remains an innovative design leader.
The bike’s running gear is based on the 670cc twin-cylinder architecture of Honda’s CTX700 and NC700X, but with much-modified frame geometry. The DCT “automatic” transmission is an innovative ingredient with four modes—Neutral, Drive, Sport and Manual.
Honda even expanded the futuristic design to the instrument panel which is back lit with 25 color options. Although the NM4 tips the scales at 506lbs wet, the low riding position, with a seat height of just 25.6 inches, and a surprising 60 MPG make open road adventures long and enjoyable.
