In 2013, BMW debuted an all-new generation of their industry-defining GS series. After a 30+ year tradition of air/oil cooling, they moved to what’s become known as the “water boxer” engine, a liquid-cooled platform that boosted horsepower from 110 to 125, plus a healthy 92 lb-ft of torque.
For 2019, BMW updated their venerable flagship adventure bike with a new motor that deserved a new name: the R1250GS. Thanks to variable valve timing technology called ShiftCam and a displacement bump, the new motor has higher peaks of 136 hp and 105 lb-ft of torque and more importantly – it’s stronger on both extremes of the rev band.
Manufactured in September of 2018, this example is VIN: WB10J9309KZH98543. The seller purchased this bike 4 years ago from BMW Motorcycles of Ventura County.
The odometer shows 19,098 miles.
