In addition to their family of 701 models, Husqvarna created a pair of “Arrows” called the 401 using the KTM Duke 390 platform. The Vitpilen (White Arrow) was a modern take on the cafe racer, while the Svartpilen (Black Arrow) was a new look at what a scrambler could be with a focus on the rough pavement of a large city.
Husky was purchased by KTM in 2013, and the companies have been sharing components with one another since. True to its KTM roots, both the front and rear suspension are provided by WP. Brakes are provided by ByBre (Brembo’s line for small displacement bikes) with a standard Bosch ABS system. Per Cycle World, the 373cc engine makes 41.4 horsepower and 26.4 lb-ft of torque – Husky traded a little bit of horsepower for a little bit more torque.
