Royal Enfield is a brand steeped in British history that has been given new life thanks to Indian investment. The company announced the Classic series in 2008 and production began in 2009 with both a 350cc and 500cc version.
With post-war retro styling, the standard’s came outfitted with sprung seats, pea shooter exhaust, and a kickstart lever. Whereas the 350 had a carburetor the 500 got EFI and was powered by a single cylinder four stroke with a claimed 27.2 hp and 30.5 lb-ft or torque at 4,000 rpm. And the savvy vintage design inspires questions like “What year is that bike?”
