Triumph got back to road racing in a big way in 2019 when they partnered with FIM to be the exclusive engine supplier for Moto2. To celebrate the occasion, the British firm released a “Daytona Moto2™ 765 Limited Edition” with just 765 units for the USA and Canada (and another 765 for Europe and Asia).
Triumph called this “the ultimate edition of Triumph’s racing legend with the highest ever specification and a new Moto2™-derived triple-cylinder engine that delivers the highest ever power and torque, tailored for the road as well as track days.” The 765cc triple produces 128 horsepower (just 10 down on the actual Moto2 racer) and 59 lb-ft, and it was paired with Ohlins suspension, a bi-directional quickshifter, Brembo Stylema calipers, full TFT instrumentation, and a titanium Arrow exhaust.
As Bennetts concluded in their First Look review, “the Daytona 765 is one of those products that exist for a different reason than spec sheets or even actual performance can define. It’s genuinely special, built with passion by engineers who want to show the world what they can do when the gloves are off.”
This Daytona (VIN: SMTA204K6LJ996656) is offered by the original owner. He purchased it seven months ago.
This is #88 of the 765 limited edition bikes.
The seller manages Triumph’s PR and press fleet at their US headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and bought it directly from them. It still has 17 months of warranty left and it is currently financed with Freedom Road Financial.
He is also a certified Triumph technician and performed the PDI himself. It is completely stock and the seller states that there are no cosmetic or mechanical issues.
The sale includes two keys, the Owner’s Handbook, and a Triumph backpack.
Currently located in Taylorsville, Georgia, this Daytona Moto2 is offered with a clean Georgia title. The seller is letting it go as he doesn’t ride it enough.
