Designed to be a modern successor to Triumph’s Speed Twin of 1938, the Hinckley based firm released the Speed Twin 1200 in 2019 as part of their Modern Classics lineup. Part of the Bonneville family, the model slotted in between the Street Twin (later renamed Speed Twin 900) and beefier 1200cc Thruxton with a more engaged riding position than the Bonneville T120.

Using the Thruxton R’s powerplant, the Speed Twin utilized a revised clutch assembly, magnesium cam cover, and lighter side covers to help save 5.5 pounds of engine weight. Lighter wheels and disc assemblies shaved off a further 10 pounds from the wheels, giving the bike a claimed 432lb dry weight.

The aforementioned parallel twin was the same 270-degree crank as other Bonnies and put out a claimed 97hp @ 6,750 rpm and 83 lb-ft of torque @ 4,950 rpm. Reviewers praised the bike nimbleness and power, here’s how Cycle World described it, “Practically, it means you can short-shift the thing all day long and pass cars without second-guessing yourself or wasting time kicking down through the gearbox.”
This example is VIN: SMTD54HF8LT959718. The seller is the original owner, he bought it new from Euro Cycles of Daytona.

The odometer shows 3,515 miles.

“I am moving out of state and unfortunately cannot take the bike or my garage setup with me. Because I will no longer have a dedicated space for maintenance or gear storage, I have chosen to sell this as a complete ‘turn-key’ package. This sale includes everything needed to ride, maintain, and store this Triumph properly. This is a single-owner motorcycle that has been garage-kept since day one and serviced exclusively by premier Florida specialists (Euro Cycles of Daytona and Cycles of Jacksonville).”
Maintenance:
“The motorcycle has been exclusively serviced by Euro Cycles of Daytona and Cycles of Jacksonville. While I don’t have a physical folder of every receipt, the full service history is documented in their dealer databases under my name and the VIN. Serious bidders are also welcome to contact the service departments at Euro Cycles of Daytona or Cycles of Jacksonville; they are familiar with this machine and its history.”
