First shown to the world in 2007, the Street Triple was a baby brother to the Speed Triple. The Street utilized the 675cc triple from the Daytona 675, with some mild tweaks to the powerband designed for urban riding. It was universally adored – MCN summed it up by saying, “If you’re looking for a high-spec middleweight that blows the competition away, the Triumph Street Triple R is in a class of one.”
The model was completely revamped in 2017 – Triumph replaced the 675cc engine with a 765cc unit, and the entire bike was a little bit lighter despite the bigger motor. They also added a top-spec RS model, which features engine tuning focused on top-end power, five rider modes, (including the RS-exclusive Track mode), upgraded TFT dash, joystick control, color-matched bellypan and seat cowl, and bar-end mirrors.
