For 2021, Ducati brought back an acronym that they hadn’t used on a superbike since 2012: SP (Sport Production). Ducati stated that “the acronym ‘SP’ is used to recognize a production bike with specific technical equipment that makes it faster on the track” and that “an amateur rider on the ‘SP’ will be faster than if he were riding the more demanding ‘R’ version.”

In this new context, the SP represented a V4 S (with the 214 hp Desmosedici Stradale engine) that’d been given special upgrades plucked from both the homologation-spec R as well as the Superleggera. Along with carbon fiber wheels and a carbon fiber front fender, it also got carbon fiber wings, larger front brakes, Brembo Stylema R calipers with a remote adjuster, and an STM EVO-SBK dry clutch.

The livery broke from traditional Ducati red, instead featuring a black-dominated paint scheme inspired by Ducati’s MotoGP Winter Test livery. Nestled amongst the contrast was a brilliant brushed aluminum tank.

Manufactured in May of 2021, this example is VIN: ZDMDAGNW8MB001688. The seller is the original owner, he purchased it new from Ducati of Beverly Hills in August of 2021.

During his ownership, the seller has never ridden the bike. The odometer shows 11 miles.

“The bike was purchased brand new from Ducati of Beverly Hills. I first saw the bike being announced on Instagram and thought to myself, “that thing is beautiful, I need one!” Funny part of it was I was vacationing in Southern California for a few days and I figured I’d stop into Ducati of Beverly Hills. Since my early 20’s I’ve owned maybe 10 Ducatis but I never stepped foot inside that dealership. I heard so many cool stories about their race team and how they had all sorts of Corse parts laying around and how insane this location was so I figured I’d go in. After talking to a sales person for around 3 minutes I blurted out, “so what’s up with that new Panigale SP?!” He said they’re only getting a few of them and that someone earlier already put a deposit on one. I asked him, “how much is the deposit and when would I get it?” Right then and there I put a 5k deposit on it.
I haven’t ever ridden the bike. It was transported from LA to Vegas via enclosed trailer. As soon as it was unloaded from the trailer I looked at it and fell in love. I decided right then and there that I’m bringing this bike inside my home as an art piece. I’ve put 0 miles on it. Any and all mileage was put on by Ducati Beverly Hills as shake down miles before giving me the bike. I don’t ride it and I already have 3 other Ducatis. I figured I’d let this bird fly with someone new and let them enjoy it.”
Maintenance:
“This bike has been recently serviced at Ducati of Las Vegas. It was its first service and all recalls done. I have the documentation for this service. There are zero issues with the bike. It’s brand new. Tires are flawless and have zero drying or rot since it has always been inside my home.”
Modifications:
“So at the time of buying the bike I wanted to make it mine. I tweaked a few things. I had Ducati of Beverly Hills install the full titanium Akra race system along with the tune from Ducati. I also had them install a billet sprocket carrier that was black anodized. I also had the turn signals removed and a license plate relocator. The turn signals on the front are the small LEDs where the rear view mirrors would be. I installed black anodized, billet bar end mirrors. I also installed the dry clutch cover that came with the bike. I also had Samco radiator hoses installed before the bike was delivered to me. All of the mods to the bike were done by Ducati of Beverly Hills before I took delivery of it. I have the documentation for all parts installed.”

It is riding on the original Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tires from 2021.

The sale includes 2 ignition keys. “Any and all factory parts that were taken off the bike were NOT brought back to me. I didn’t want them. So no OEM exhaust, turn signals, mirrors come with the bike.”

Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the album in the “Photos” tab for all known cosmetic blemishes.
