Please note: “There’s big news today for motorcycle fans. Italian motorcycle EV motorcycle brand Energica has emerged from bankruptcy and completed a deal with Singaporean investors.” That’s according to Energica CEO and Global Sales Director Stefano Benatti. Benatti says the first order of business will be restoring the flow of parts for existing owners of bikes that may need servicing.

Owned by parent company CRP group in the business of precision engineer aircraft and F1 parts, Energica was formed in 2014 with the goal of producing high-performance sustainable motorcycles. Energica unveiled the Eva as their second model in 2014 at EICMA. This naked streetfighter variant shared the same electric powertrain and chassis as its fully-faired sibling, the Ego, but with a more upright riding position and slightly detuned performance.
In 2019, Energica introduced the Eva Ribelle, superseding the original Eva. The Ribelle featured a significantly upgraded 21.5 kWh battery pack, boosting range and performance. This “rebellious” evolution boasted an impressive 159 lb-ft of torque and a power output matching the flagship Ego+, while maintaining a top speed limited to 125 mph.
The RS variant, introduced in 2020 and standing for Reparto Sportivo or Sport Department, took the Eva Ribelle’s performance to new heights with a 0-60 time of 2.6 seconds. Boasting a claimed range of 261 miles in the city and 123 miles highway, this high-performance version offered improved acceleration, fully adjustable Marzocchi forks, Bitubo rear shock, four riding modes, traction control, ABS, and battery regen, cementing its status as a true top-notch “electric hyper-naked”.
