Upon its release back in 2015, the RC390 was an instant hit, far-surpassing the performance envelope that small- and middleweight displacement bikes were offering at the time. Based on the 390 Duke, it combined KTM’s proven liquid-cooled, DOHC, fuel-injected counter-balanced four-stroke single with a steel-trellis frame and a WP Suspension setup fore and aft.

Euro4 brought several updates to the RC390 for 2017 – a new exhaust, new bellypan, adjustable levers, larger (320mm front disc), and ride-by-wire throttle.

It wouldn’t be until 2022 that the RC390 got another significant update – and while the engine was limited to 44 horsepower due to A2 licensing laws, it got a bump in torque as the airbox was 40% larger. It also received plenty of significant changes such as new bodywork, adjustable handlebars, TFT dash, and lighter wheels to complement the class-leading suspension and electronics package which featured cornering ABS and traction control thanks to a 3-axis IMU. MCN said, “this bike’s a real winner in its class, thanks to the quality of its components and electronic package which supplies cornering ABS and traction control. Its rivals can’t match it on both performance and value.”
