Description
The seller has also provided the following video if you’d like to hear this MV Agusta in action!
Additional photos are available here for your perusal.
The MV Agusta Company began as an offshoot of the Agusta aviation company formed by Count Giovanni Agusta in 1923. The Count died in 1927, leaving the company in the hands of his wife and sons, Domenico, Vincenzo, Mario and Corrado. Count Vincenzo Agusta together with his brother Domenico formed MV Agusta at the end of the Second World War as a means of saving the jobs of employees of the Agusta firm and also to fill the post-war need for cheap, efficient transportation. The brothers had a passion for mechanical workings and for motorcycle racing. Much like Enzo Ferrari, they produced and sold motorcycles almost exclusively to fund their racing efforts.
It’s one of the grand old nameplates in motorcycling, MV Agusta, steeped in racing tradition. From its inception to 1976, the company would win some 270 Grand Prix roadraces and take home 27 world titles. Some of the greatest talent ever to race on two wheels: John Surtees, Mike Hailwood, Giacomo Agostini, Phil Read all rode Count Domenico Agusta’s wailing race-bikes.
In 2014, MV Agusta updated the F3 675 with a big jump to the F3 800 – Cycle World said, “The 800 simply feels like a completely different animal.” Some of this was due to refinements to the engine management software, but the bigger motor was less peaky and made more power (148 hp at the crank compared to 126).
When 2021 rolled around, the Varese, Italy, based firm introduced the F3 RR with its eye catching aerodynamic design featuring a taller windscreen, enclosed wings (which MV calls “appendages”), and a front fender which wraps around the fork legs. Less visually obvious changes include a 10% lighter rear wheel, stiffer chassis around the swingarm, and the surface of the footpegs for improved grip.
This example is VIN: ZCGDNXECXNV001640. The seller is the first owner of the bike and purchased it new, January 2023, from Bellevue Motorsports in Bellevue, Washington, and states, “This was my MotoAmerica bike in 2023. I debuted it at The Ridge Motorsports Park, where my best finish was 6th place. I also raced it at Laguna Seca and Circuit of the Americas. It’s an amazing motorcycle that is super fun to ride, and sounds better than anything I’ve ever ridden. It’s truly an amazing machine. Racing Supersport was a fun side project of mine that I added on top of racing Super Hooligans. I’d love to keep the bike and ride it for fun, but I need to fund the next racing project.”
True mileage unknown. Per the seller, “The bike came with no miles on it, and it has lived its life on the track only. It has three track days and four race weekends ridden on it. Three of those race weekends were MotoAmerica Supersport races at The Ridge, Laguna Seca and Circuit of the Americas.”
