Description
Additional photos of these Honda NSF250Rs are available here for your perusal.
2011 marked the end of two-stroke world championships – the next year, Moto3 moved to four-strokes, and Honda’s first factory effort was the NSF250R. Rules capped bore size at 81mm, revs at 14,000 rpm, and valves at four.
Honda called their NSF250R “a new racing machine for a new era: light, compact, high output, high performance.”
Claimed power? 48 ponies, which were plenty for the feather light dry weight of 180 pounds. Honda offered this racer in the US in 2012 with a MSRP of $28,599.
That would be the only year that Honda officially exported the bike to the US via their dealer network, but you can still get them new today. So that’s what Iconic did – we ordered a few directly from HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) in Japan so that our wonderful clients could experience the joy of Honda’s Moto3 race bike for themselves!
