“Buell is Back”. A phrase that not long ago many would have scoffed at. In early 2021, the American-based motorcycle company Buell announced a return to the market with some rather striking models, as the eccentric manufacturer had been known to make previously. The first up to bat for Buell was their flagship sport bike – the Hammerhead 1190. The Hammerhead was an amalgamation of ideas from the entire R&D team at Buell, with high profile figures from companies such as Lotus Engineering, Toyota, Bombardier, and GM contributing their experience in the industry as well.

While the company sought to innovate with their newest model, the overall motorcycle maintained the longstanding theme of quirks and design choices. With features like an in-frame gas tank – meant to save weight and bring the center of gravity further down – to the single perimeter rotor built to decrease overall rotating mass, the Hammerhead takes an approach to handling and performance that Buell has become synonymous with.

As for the specs of this model, the 1190 comes from the factory boasting an impressive 185 horsepower and 102 ft/lbs. of torque out of the V-twin configured engine. Stopping all 420 pounds of the motorcycle is an eight-piston single caliper front brake and a 220mm rear brake, while Showa components were sourced to provide ample customization and capability around either a local canyon or track.

Manufactured in November of 2023, this example is VIN: 546AAAG28RL000003. The seller is the original owner – he bought it directly from Buell one year ago.

The odometer shows 1,011 miles.
