It’s always big news when Ducati releases a new generation for their iconic supersport line, and 2025 was no different with the debut of a new Panigale V4 and the up-spec V4 S. As always, the Italian firm managed to find more power and shave weight, but for 2025 they also wanted to focus on making the bike easier to ride for the average rider – they called it a “skill-boosting motorcycle” in this review by our buddy Rennie Scaysbrook at Cycle News. He goes on to call it “is an astounding motorcycle. It’s the easiest 1000cc superbike I’ve yet ridden, but it’s also probably the fastest.”

Ducati unveiled a “Tricolore” version at Art Basel Miami in 2024 – in their words it was “combining tradition and innovation in a limited edition based on the new Panigale V4 S.” They also emphasized that for the first time they gave a “Tricolore” model performance upgrades in addition to the cosmetic changes – in this case it was carbon fiber wheels (which reduce weight by 2.09 pounds compared to the forged units on the V4 S) and an industry-first use of 338.5 mm Brembo T-Drive finned rotors.

Other performance components included adjustable billet aluminum footpegs, extensive use of carbon fiber, and a dry clutch.

The Tricolore name reflected that this bike was a tribute to the Italian flag, with an asymmetric livery incorporating the famous red/white/green as well as a checkered flag on the lower fairing.

Ducati calls this “a real collector’s model and a unique interpretation of Ducati style, it showcases the manufacturer’s heritage and the infinite passion for speed.” Production was capped at 1,000 units.
