It’s always big news when Ducati releases a new generation for their iconic supersport line, and 2025 was no different with the debut of a new Panigale V4 and the up-spec V4 S. As always, the Italian firm managed to find more power and shave weight, but for 2025 they also wanted to focus on making the bike easier to ride for the average rider – they called it a “skill-boosting motorcycle” in this review by our buddy Rennie Scaysbrook at Cycle News. He goes on to call it “is an astounding motorcycle. It’s the easiest 1000cc superbike I’ve yet ridden, but it’s also probably the fastest.”

Ducati also announced a limited edition of the V4 built to commemorate their 1-2 finish at their home GP of Mugello on June 2, 2024 (78 years to the day of when the Italian Republic was officially founded). As they already offer a Tricolore model of this bike in the traditional red/white/green, Ducati instead went with a vibrant blue-dominated livery that apes the racing bikes that Pecco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini were riding for that momentous victory. Said blue is the traditional color of Italy’s athletic teams, affectionally known as “the Azzurri.” Just 163 examples were built at a MSRP of $85,000, and Ducati called the model the Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia.

Each bike features Pecco’s signature on the tank cover, as well as silk-screen printing of the bike number and outline of Mugello on the steering head.

In addition, each Tricolore Italia is equipped with carbon fiber wheels (which reduce weight by 2.09 pounds compared to the forged units on the V4 S) as well as enormous 338.5mm Brembo T-Drive finned rotors.

Carbon fiber is also found on the swingarm guards, heel guards, alternator cover, and exhaust heat shield.

Rounding out the package is a for track use, which includes a billet aluminum fuel cap, carbon fiber front brake cooling duct, license plate holder delete plug, and an open carbon fiber cover for the dry clutch.
