Yamaha has been in the 600cc sportbike game since the introduction of the XJ600 in 1984. In 1998 however, the company would redefine the 600cc supersport class with the introduction of the all-new YZF-R6. Designed as a 600cc version of the freshly released R1 and offered as a higher-performance alternative to the YZF600R, the R6 featured a remarkable alloy frame and swing-arm and was powered by an inline-four that was the first 200hp-per-liter engine on a production 600.

For 2017, Yamaha gave the R6 a restyle so it would look more like its bigger brother R1. This not only increased the family resemblance, but it cut drag by 8%.

Other upgrades included an aluminum fuel tank, full LED lighting, 43mm KYB forks, new KYB rear shock, larger 320mm front discs, and new ADVICS four-piston calipers – this model was much more than just a new face.

In 2020, Yamaha discontinued the street-legal R6, instead opting to offer a non-homologated “Race” version with the street-legal components removed and “Tech Black” bodywork.

Coming stock with a new KYB rear shock with enhanced damping characteristics and tool-free low-speed compression adjustment.

Revised KYB front fork settings for improved bump absorption and rider comfort and much more.
2026 is the final year of production for the RACE, and just 100 examples were allocated for the US market.
This example is VIN: JYACJ32C3TA001642.

The odometer shows zero miles.

The seller is a dealership that acquired four of these directly from Yamaha. “Owner is keeping one personally, keeping one at the store and willing to part with the other two at the right price.”
Modifications:
This bike is completely stock.
Please Note: The absence of a seat cowl isn’t an oversight — it’s intentional. The R6 RACE is delivered as a blank canvas for racers, and the expectation is that a race seat unit or custom tail section will be fitted as part of track preparation.

It is riding on the original Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S21 tires with date codes of 4924.

The sale includes 3 ignition keys and the owner’s manual.
