Additional photos of this AGV helmet are available here for your perusal.

AGV’s top-of-the-line race helmet is the GP-Tech, and they occasionally released limited editions to correspond with Valentino Rossis helmets. This is one of the most iconic, as it was created in 2008 to celebrate his 8th World Championship (1997 125cc, 1999 250cc, 2001 500cc, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2009 MotoGP). Rossi famously got a friend of his to pretend to be a notary and make that championship “official” trackside after the race:

Rossi used the “Celebr-8” helmet as his next “Winter Test” livery, and AGV made 2,500 replicas for public consumption.

This example is an XL and it’s #2,252 out of 2,500.

The MotoGP season recently ended at Valencia, and it got more headlines than usual as it was Valentino’s last race. At the race, the seller of this helmet had Valentino sign it.

With the exception of the signature, this helmet is as-new and is an incredibly opportunity for a Rossi fan or collector of motorcycle history.

Currently located in Barcelona, Spain, this helmet is offered on a Bill of Sale only. The seller estimates that shipping to the continental US would be roughly $100. Have any Rossi stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
