Description
Additional photos of this Bautista 2011 Suzuki RGV500 Bodywork are available here for your perusal.
Álvaro Bautista raced his first bike at 8 years old, working his way up from 50cc championships all the way to MotoGP in 2010. Along the way he became the 125cc World Champion in 2006 and placed 2nd overall in the 250cc World Championships in 2008.
He started his MotoGP career racing for Rizla Suzuki for his first two seasons (2010 and 2011) with limited success until he switched to Gresini Honda where he saw better results.
Gresini would later switch to Aprilia, and then Bautista moved on to ride for Ducati as well. In 2019, Álvaro moved over to World Superbike – that first year he placed 2nd overall and currently (June 2022) he is in first place.
This listing is for bodywork from Bautista’s 2011 Rizla Suzuki MotoGP GSV-R team bike. Per Crash.net, he was to be Rizla’s sole entry that year and “was one of the stars of pre-season testing, but a high-speed crash during the opening weekend in Qatar left him with a broken femur.” Here is a picture of Bautista riding the bike from the 2011 season.
There is wear from its time on track, but the bodywork does not appear to have been crashed in.
Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this bodywork is offered on a Bill of Sale only. Have any Bautista stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
