As the son and nephew of successful dirt track riders Dave and Paul Bostrom, Ben Bostrom kicked off his career by taking the AMA 600 Dirt Track National Championship in 1993.
Just two years later, Bostrom switched to road racing. In 1998, he managed to ride to an AMA Superbike national championship for Honda — without even winning a race during the season. Come 2000, Bostrom had started racing full-time in the Superbike World Championship aboard a factory Ducati. The following season, he finished third overall, winning a total of six races — five of which were consecutive podium finishes.
After a few lackluster seasons, Ben Bostrom returned to AMA as a Honda rider for 2003 and 2004. He finished fourth each year, first on an RC51 and then on a CBR600RR Fireblade. In 2005, he continued racing with Honda, though it was with the Renegade team for the World Superbike Championship.
Along with Superbike, Bostrom also raced Supermoto throughout his career. He won the 2003 AMA Supermoto Championship and the gold medal at the inaugural X-Games Supermoto competition.
This fairing and tail are from Bostrom’s 2004 season.
