The 916 truly needs no introduction, but we’ll defer to VisorDown for our favorite summation:

This example is engine #: RB81003426. This page shows that RB8 corresponds to a fuel injected S4/916 motor. We are unable to confirm the year of production – if you know how to, please let us know!
Maintenance:
In preparation for the listing, the seller had us perform a compression and leak down test. The results are as follows:
Vertical Cylinder: 215psi @ 4% rings
Horizontal Cylinder: 195psi @ 4% rings
Notes:
– Spark Plugs condition: Used, but good
– Cylinders are coated with fogging oil
– Broken spring in the clutch basket
– Bent bracket on left side
– One velocity stack is broken
